Marsh Offering Integrated Web, Mobile, Social Media Channels

Marsh Supermarkets is offering its shoppers a completely integrated digital platform across web, mobile, and social media channels.

The 97-store grocer is using MyWebGrocer’s digital shopping solution, which it expects to enable its customers to select and purchase groceries from the comfort of their computer. Shoppers will have access to planning tools including online circulars, personalized shopping lists and recipes. According to MyWeb Grocer, online circulars offer shoppers an easy way to stay informed about sales and specials that are relevant to them at their local store. The circulars are also integrated with a customer’s shopping lists and recipes, offering an interactive and seamless shopping experience.

“Our partnership with MyWebGrocer allows us to connect with our customers through the platforms they use every day – web, mobile and social media, said John Kelly, VP of marketing for Marsh. “The fact that these platforms integrate seamlessly gives us confidence that our shoppers will love the digital grocery shopping experience.”

Marsh shoppers who like to shop on their mobile device can enjoy an experience that was designed to parallel that of the website. The planning tools easily integrate from computer to mobile, so that items added to a shopping list on one platform are automatically updated on the other. Shoppers will be able to access Marsh’s planning tools via an Android or iPhone Application or through the mobile web at m.marsh.net.

Marsh customers also have the option to access the weekly circular via Marsh’s Facebook page to find specials at their local Marsh store. Shoppers will be able to click on the special items scrolling by and add them to their shopping list or find recipes for on sale items.

Indianapolis-based Marsh joins 112 other grocery retailers that use MyWebGrocer services, available at MyWebGrocer.com.
