Marsh Closing Naperville Store; Angelo Caputo's Assuming Lease
INDIANAPOLIS -- Less than a year after Marsh Supermarkets here had entered Illinois with much fanfare, real estate investment trust Kite Realty Group ended its lease with Marsh for the store at a center in Naperville, Ill. and sold the property to Chicago-based Caputo's Fresh Markets for $14 million.
Marsh will close the 66,000-square-foot store -- its first in Illinois -- by July 22, less than one year after its grand opening.
Four-store specialty retailer Angelo Caputo's Fresh Markets will assume the lease when Marsh vacates, and will renovate and reopen the store within approximately two months, according to published reports.
