Mars Super Market Once Again Up for Sale

Mars Super Market has once again put itself up for sale.

The D’Anna family, owners of the Baltimore-based chain, had previously explored selling the company in 2007, but did not get high enough bids. Since that time, Mars sold off four stores and now operates 13 locations as well as a distribution center.

Mars has hired Washington-based The Food Partners to act as the agent for potential bidders. According to the Diamond Marketing Group, the company has so far rejected offers from Weis Markets and Food Lion.
