Making Change Launches Hunger Knows No Season

Making Change, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, has partnered with 28 stores to launch its Hunger Knows No Season summer fundraiser. The campaign runs until Sept. 30 in support of Hunger Action Month in September.

Participating stores, which include Mollie Stone’s Markets, based in Mill Valley, Calif.; Adams Hometown Markets, based in Cheshire, Conn.; Dorothy Lane Markets, based in Dayton, Ohio; and Draeger’s Markets, based in San Francisco, will offer $1, $3 and $5 donation coupons at checkout. All proceeds go to support community charities selected by the retailer.

“We are excited to launch our wide-ranging summer fundraiser in nearly 30 stores that will positively impact communities across the country,” said Dave McConnell, president and CEO of Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Making Change. “This vital program is taking a huge bite out of hunger by providing nutritious food to those who need it most, our underprivileged.”
