Lunds Promotes Executives

Lund Food Holdings,  Inc. has recently promoted two key executives: Jim Geisler to the new position of chief operations officer and Phil Lombardo to the new position of chief marketing and merchandising officer.

Geisler (pictured left), who has more than 40 years of grocery retail experience, joined LFHI in 1995 as a store manager and was later promoted to store director. He was promoted to VP of store operations in 1997 and became senior VP of operations in 2004. In his new role as COO, Geisler is responsible for store operations, store development, human resources and finance.

Lombardo (pictured right) has been in the grocery industry for more than 30 years. He joined LFHI in 2002 as director of non-perishables. In 2004, he was promoted to senior director of non-perishables before becoming VP of sales and marketing in 2005. In his new role as chief marketing and merchandising officer, Lombardo is responsible for sales, marketing, manufacturing and information services.

Edina, Minn.-based Lund Food Holdings Inc. operates 11 Lunds and 11 Byerly’s grocery stores in the Twin Cities and surrounding area.
