Lucky’s Market to Open in Missouri

Boulder, Colo.-based Lucky’s Market will open its first store in Missouri on Jan. 15.

The Columbia, Mo., store will be the fourth nationwide for Lucky’s Market. Locations in Louisville, Ky., and Billings, Mont., are scheduled to open in 2014 as well.

“We are incredibly proud to be opening in Missouri,” said Bo Sharon, who founded Lucky’s Market with his wife, Trish. “We imagine our stores as an oasis of health, kindness and support, the kind of store we love to shop in ourselves. ...We cannot wait to discover some fantastic Missouri farmers and vendors as well.”

Shoppers will find a wide selection of organic, specialty and gluten-free items at the store, as well as house-made deli items, in-house cured meats and smoked bacon, local produce, fresh meats and seafood, and a bakery. Additional features include free wellness activities and store “walkabouts” (for gluten-free and other food categories).

The Sharons, both chefs, started Lucky’s Market in 2003 in a former convenience store in Boulder, Colo. Today, Lucky’s operates stores in Boulder and Longmont, Colo., and Columbus, Ohio, which opened Oct. 23.
