Local Giant Food Stores Partner With Health Benefit Providers to Spotlight Healthier Items
CARLISLE, Pa. - Shoppers at 17 Giant Food Stores in the Harrisburg, Pa. area will be eligible for rebates on selected healthier foods and other products bought between Oct. 24 and Dec. 4. Additionally, members of the HealthAmerica and HealthAssurance health benefit providers will receive a gift and be eligible for prize drawings when they buy rebate-eligible products.
All customers need to do is sign up for the Healthier Selections One Check Rebates program and buy eligible items. No coupons or mail-ins are required.
HealthAmerica and HealthAssurance members can also sign up for additional prizes, among them sporting good gift cards, health and fitness magazine subscriptions, and the grand prize of a half-day at The Spa at The Hotel Hershey in Hershey, Pa. Those who take part in the program will automatically receive rebate checks for their purchases of selected healthier products at participating Giant Food Stores.

A list of rebate-eligible items is posted on the Giant Web site and at participating stores. Consumers must also show their Giant Bonuscard at the time of purchase.
Also, HealthAmerica and HealthAssurance will sponsor free blood pressure and body mass screenings between Oct. 30 and Nov. 16 at select Harrisburg-area Giant Food Stores. HealthAmerica's mascot, the Healthy Hound, will be on hand to entertain children.
