Loblaws Banners Offer Extend Hours
Loblaw Cos., Ltd. has once again lengthened hours at several of its banner stores, in advance of busy holiday shopping, with many locations open 24 hours. The extended hours started Friday and will continue through Dec. 23.
"This is our second season offering extended hours," Loblaw senior director, public relations David Primorac told Progressive Grocer. "We piloted the program last year."
Nearly all Real Canadian Superstores and Loblaw Superstores will be open around the clock, while most Loblaws, Loblaw Great Food, Zehrs, and Extra Foods locations across Canada have extended their hours to 11 p.m. Atlantic Superstore and Dominion stores in Atlantic Canada will also extend their hours until midnight from Dec. 12 through Dec. 23.
"The holidays can creep up on us and before we know it, there's only a few days left to shop!" noted Loblaw v.p., public affairs and investor relations Inge van den Berg. "Through our extended hours this month, we're doing whatever we can to help ease the stress of the holiday season and provide as much time as possible for our customers to shop on their own schedules."
For specific locations and holiday hours in their area, shoppers can visit www.loblawstores.ca or ask their local store for details.
