KSS Fuels Expands Global Sales Force


KSS Fuels is beefing up its global salesforce to enhance its focus on marketing pricing software, analytics and consulting services to fuel retailers and wholesalers in the oil and gas, convenience store, grocery, and retail industries.

The Florham Park, N.J.-based company has hired Huw Carey and Robert Cooper as sales account executives, and Steve Nunez as an inside sales representative. Cooper and Nunez will be based in Houston, the major hub for oil and gas activity in the United States, while Carey will work from the company’s Manchester office in the United Kingdom.

“Fuel retailers and wholesalers around the world have realized the benefits of automated fuel price management solutions, so we’re expanding our global sales team to help meet current demand and explore new opportunities,” explained Bob Stein, president and CEO of KSS Fuels. “Huw’s global reach, particularly in Asia, will help us expand our growth in that region and worldwide. Robert’s experience in the wholesale oil and gas industry will help support our efforts to further target that important market segment. And Steve will help us provide additional value to our existing customer base and expand our market presence with local/regional fuel wholesalers and retailers. This trio will be a significant value-add to the entire KSS Fuels team.”

Carey is a seasoned sales executive with more than 25 years of experience globally. He has extensive knowledge of, and expertise in, the petroleum and convenience industries, and recently served as international business development director for Torex Retail Holdings, Ltd. At Torex, he successfully developed inroads with major oil companies in Southeast Asia, thus expanding the company’s business focus beyond its traditional U.K. and Benelux market areas.

Cooper has 15 years of experience in the enterprise software industry, including sales to the wholesale oil and gas industry, and has managed, negotiated and closed numerous sales opportunities in excess of $1 million with Fortune 1,000 accounts. His experience includes directing all aspects of complex sales processes, including prospecting, discovery, allocating internal resources, demonstrations, forecasting, salesforce automation tracking, proposal/ROI/TCO presentation, negotiations and closing.

Nunez has 10 years of software sales experience and core skills in sales management and business development. He has a solid background in business management applications, including market analysis, sales, marketing, and team and relationship building, and has consistently met or exceeded multimillion-dollar individual and team sales goals during his career.
