Kroger Opens 500th ClickList Location
The Kroger Co. has opened its 500th ClickList location nationwide, reaching a new milestone in the expansion of its click-and-collect online shopping service.
“We continue to accelerate the offering, which is a huge hit with our customers. We’ve launched more than 100 new ClickList locations in the last two months alone,” said Kroger Chairman and CEO Rodney McMullen, announcing the milestone Wednesday morning at the retailer’s annual investor conference in Cincinnati.
The total number includes Harris Teeter’s services; Kroger’s merger with Harris Teeter in early 2013 accelerated Kroger’s entry into this e-commerce space from zero to about 140 order online/pickup at store locations.
Based on learnings from Harris Teeter, Kroger opened its first pilot-phase ClickList location in Liberty Township, Ohio, in June 2015. The 500th ClickList store is in Delhi, Ohio, and is the 25th ClickList location in Kroger’s Cincinnati division.
Cincinnati-based Kroger operates more than 2,700 retail food stores under a variety of local banner names in 35 states and the District of Columbia.
