Kroger Names Scot Hendricks Delta Division President

The Kroger Co. has promoted Scot Hendricks to president of the company's Memphis-based Delta division, effective Oct. 1. Hendricks succeeds Tim Brown, who has been named president of Kroger's Cincinnati/Dayton division.

In his new role, Hendricks will oversee Kroger stores in Western Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Arkansas and Missouri.

Having joined Kroger in 1981, Hendricks served in several leadership roles in the Atlanta division from 1986 – 2000, and was subsequently promoted to Kroger's general office, where he served as VP of grocery merchandising and procurement.

In 2011, he was promoted to VP of merchandising in the company's Cincinnati/Dayton division, where he served until he was appointed to VP of operations in 2014, his most recent position.

"Scot is a strong leader with extensive experience in both merchandising and operations," said Fred Morganthall, Kroger's EVP of retail operations. "Scot lives our values and brings out the best in our associates. We look forward to his leadership of our Delta division."

Cincinnati-based Kroger operates 2,623 supermarkets and multi-department stores in 34 states and the District of Columbia under two dozen local banner names including Kroger, City Market, Dillons, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry's, Harris Teeter, Jay C, King Soopers, QFC, Ralphs and Smith's.
