Kroger Associates in South Ratify New Labor Agreement
The Kroger Co. and its associate-members of United Food & Commercial Workers Union Local 400 have inked a new labor pact with the company's Roanoke, Va.-based Mid-Atlantic division.
"This agreement maintains quality jobs and affordable health care for our associates and their families and keeps Kroger competitive," said Jay Cummins, president of Kroger's Mid-Atlantic division.
The agreement covers more than 4,500 Kroger associates who work in 43 stores in central and southwest Virginia, northeast Tennessee and southeast West Virginia.
