Kraft Foods, Jewel-Osco Team for 'Hometown Hunger' Recipe Program
Jewel-Osco, Supervalu's Chicago-based subsidiary and Kraft Foods Inc. are teaming up to donate up to $50,000 in funding for local hunger initiatives through its "Recipe for Hometown Hunger" program.
Building on Kraft's long-standing tradition of supporting Chicago-area hunger initiatives, the effort aims to increase support for hungry families and raise awareness for hunger relief.
Now through Sept. 17, for each select Kraft product purchased at Jewel-Osco, $0.25 worth of milk (up to $50,000) will be donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository and Northern Illinois Food Bank. This effort builds on a partnership from earlier this year where Kraft and Jewel-Osco donated $50,000 toward the purchase of produce, meat and bakery items.
