Kings/Balducci's Parent Names VP of Real Estate

KB Holding Inc., headquartered in Delaware, has hired Joel Chace as VP of real estate, in which capacity he will spearhead the growth of the company's retail banners, Kings Super Markets and Balducci’s Food Lover’s Market.

“The expansion of our Kings and Balducci’s brands remains a top priority for us, and Joel will play a significant role in helping us to build, buy and better our stores,” said Judy Spires, president and CEO of KB Holding. “With a history of success in areas of aggressive retail expansion, we are confident in his ability to develop and enhance the in-store experience for our current customers, but also bring these experiences to new communities.”

Chace has 15 years of experience leading real estate departments for such retail chains as Party City, as well as at Citibank. He has headed a team of company legal, construction, facilities and finance personnel and consultants to secure sites and meet critical dates and budget for new clubs, relocations and expansions, including managing a portfolio of subtenants. His most recent role was director of real estate development and lease administration for New York City-based Town Sports International Holdings Inc.

Parsippany, N.J.-based Kings and Balducci’s operate a combined 30-plus stores in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Maryland and Virginia.
