Kings Super Markets Web Site Revamped
Kings Super Markets and Grocery Shopping Network (GSN) have joined forces to offer Kings shoppers cutting-edge Web site technology at www.kingswebsite.com.
The site provides the resources for customers to plan a shopping trip and draw up a personalized shopping list. Features include an interactive weekly ad linked to over 60,000 recipes, meal and product suggestions, in-store specials, cooking videos, and coupons, among other items.
Additionally, shoppers with a Kings loyalty card can now view "My Personalized Specials," a section offering contains product specials that are specific and relevant to each household's particular shopping needs.
"The Web site is an exceptional tool enabling our customers to save time and money," noted Kings manager community relations/consumer affairs Cheryl Good. "They can discover all the store's offers before walking the aisles. The site allows customers to easily create a shopping list full of relevant products, coupons, and specials -- both advertised and unadvertised -- without having to access multiple sources."
"Kingswebsite.com has the latest technology available to manage hundreds of thousands of household preferences, down to a product and attribute level," added GSN c.e.o. Andy Robinson. "Now Kings Super Market will remember what you buy and tell you when it's on sale."
GSN spokesman Albin Andolshek explained to Progressive Grocer that the site, which launched in February, employs a new platform that supports faster functionality behind the scenes. He also noted such enhancements to the site as the Coupons Inc., which tells consumers how much they can save on their tabs, with embedded coupons (no link-outs or microsites) that print out when the shopping list does; Browse the Aisles, which allows customers to virtually shop the aisles of the store; and Things I Buy, which lets loyalty card holders access their purchase history at Kings going back six months.
Parsippany, N.J.-based Kings operates 26 stores serving northern New Jersey and Long Island, N.Y.
Grocery Shopping Network, based in Minneapolis, provides grocery retailers' Web sites with a suite of proprietary software products integrating shopping list building, recipes, and meal planning with relevant, focused advertising content.
