Kings Food Markets Readies to Swing ‘Against Hunger’

Kings Food Markets' Fifth Annual Charity Golf Classic, which benefits its Act Against Hunger initiative, will take place on Thursday, Aug. 13 at Crystal Springs Resort, in Vernon Valley, N.J. The tournament unites Kings and its industry partners in an effort to raise further funds for hunger relief programs throughout the upscale grocer's three-state Northeast footprint, with all proceeds going toward those initiatives.

"Kings Food Markets has donated over 100,000 pounds of food to those in need in our community, and we are so thankful for the support we continually receive from each of our partners," noted Kings President and CEO Judy Spires. "Now in our fifth year, the Annual Golf Classic showcases our dedication towards our hunger relief efforts, and proves we've sustained truly remarkable relationships along the way."

The event will include brunch, a cocktail hour, a buffet dinner and an award presentation honoring commuinity leaders' work supporting hunger relief. Attendees will additionally enjoy complimentary green fees and the use of power carts.

Early-bird sponsorships for the classic are available, including hole sponsorship, registration for a foursome, and individual tickets. For more information, contact Dan McGivney, event chairman for Kings, at [email protected], or 973-463-6399.
