Kings Celebrates ‘Newly Inspired’ Montclair Store

Kings Food Markets debuted its “newly-inspired” Montclair, N.J. store with a weekend-long customer appreciation event for the community with nutritionist consultations, signature tastings, Cooking Studio demonstrations and more.

Among the highlights of the store are a new soup and olive bar, an expanded floral area, and expanded food cases housing larger varieties of frozen seafood, bakery and meat. In addition to the store’s tastings and demonstrations, the first one hundred guests received a culinary gift on behalf of Kings.

As shown in the photos below, Judy Spires, Kings’ president/CEO, kicked off the event with the Parsippany, N.J.-based grocer’s signature pasta-ribbon cutting, followed by a donation of some of the most-needed items to local hunger relief agencies, such as The Salvation Army of Montclair, the Human Needs Pantry and Toni’s Kitchen, in tandem with Kings’ charitable Act Against Hunger initiative.

Progressive Grocer visited Kings' newest concept store in Gillette, N.J., which celebrated its grand reopening earlier this year and which is in the spotlight of a PGTV video segment that can be found here.
