Jubilee Market Moving Into Trump Place

NEW YORK -- Jubilee Market, a five-store retailer here, has rented 20,000 square feet at 180 Riverside Boulevard at Trump Place, between West 68th and West 69th Streets with the intent to open a store in the landmark building, retail brokerage firm Newmark Knight Frank Retail said yesterday.

"After the A&P at West End Ave. and 70th St. closed, residents were left with little or no grocery shopping choices," said Newmark's managing director, Craig Slosberg. "Jubilee will be a much needed addition to the neighborhood. We are delighted to add such a convenience to the mix already in place, and are equally excited about the [other] new retailers we expect to sign shortly."

According to Slosberg, the market is tentatively scheduled to open in the summer or fall of 2007. He added that other tenants to follow will include a spa, restaurants, a wine shop, dry cleaning, a pet spa, with several leases being negotiated at this time.

"Of the remaining 16,000 square feet of retail, medical, and community spaces available in the three buildings, we have firm commitments and are actively negotiating leases for roughly 12,500 square feet," added the brokerage firm's e.v.p., Jeffrey D. Roseman.
