Hy-Vee to Open Its First Store in Peoria
With a newly signed lease in hand, Hy-Vee Inc. is readying to build its first store in Peoria, Ill., and its twelfth store in Illinois.
Among the new 84,000-square-foot store’s features will be an attached wine and spirits shop. As in its other stores, the new unit will offer eat-in and take-out dining options, a drive-up pharmacy, one-hour and digital photo labs, HealthMarket products, gourmet salads, desserts and more.
The store will also feature a Hy-Vee Club room for classes and meetings as well as the services of an in-store dietitian.
Once the requisite city approvals are obtained a timeline for construction will be set.
The W. Des Moines, Iowa-based Hy-Vee operates 224 stores in seven Midwestern states.
