Husman’s Marks 95 Years

6/12/2014

Husman's Snack Food Co., whose products include chips, cheese snacks, pretzels and popcorn, and more, is celebrating 95 years in business with a variety of consumer promotions, including a special 95th Anniversary Bag (pictured), giveaways and commemorative product displays in local stores.

A longtime favorite in the greater Cincinnati area, Husman's was founded in 1919 by 24-year-old Harry Husman, who began producing potato chips while selling materials to local grocers, after he often overheard customers requesting chips that were often out of stock. In 2009, Husman’s became part of Parsippany, N.J.-based Pinnacle Foods Group LLC.

Among the regional brand's popular products are Original Flavor, Bar-B-Q, Sweet N Sassy, Wavy, Sour Cream & Onion, and Kettle Style Hot & Spicy Jalapeño Chips, available in sizes ranging from 1 ounce to 16 ounces.

"We are happy to be able to provide quality products to consumers as we have been doing for nearly a century," said Husman's Associate Brand/Sales Manager Michele James. "People can be sure that Husman's products are still made with the same quality ingredients, with the utmost attention paid to detail."
