Hot Football-themed Sweepstakes Kicks Off
This coming football season will be hotter than ever, thanks to “The Original” Louisiana Hot Sauce and EA Sports, a label of Redwood City, Calif.-based Electronic Arts Inc., who are teaming up for The Red Dot Sweepstakes. Offering prizes of a home entertainment package, EA Sports videogames, and a year’s supply of hot sauce, the contest runs through Sept. 26.
Additionally, EA Sports is offering $5 off to consumers who make a purchase at www.eastore.com/LHS using the unique discount code on bottles of “The Original” Louisiana Hot Sauce. For every $5 discount code offer redeemed during the campaign, EA Sports will contribute $5 to the Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund.
“The Gulf region is home to our EA Tiburon studio and EA North American Test Center, so contributing to the Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund is something we are very passionate about,” explained EA Sports senior director of partnership marketing Christopher Erb.
“With our company headquartered in Louisiana, we are part of the Louisiana fabric,” noted Si Brown, president and CEO of New Iberia-based Bruce Foods, manufacturer of “The Original” Louisiana Hot Sauce. “Many of our employees have deep roots and families here, and we were ecstatic when EA Sports announced that as part of our promotion with them, they would help our relief efforts here and donate to the Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund.”
The sweepstakes campaign will include a 30-second commercial featuring both the hot sauce brand and EA Sports, as well as online banner ads and mobile banner ads. Further, throughout the promotion, “The Original” Louisiana Hot Sauce bottles nationwide will bear a tag detailing the $5 discount offer.
