HEB Recalls Own Brand Tortillas
SAN ANTONIO -- H.E. Butt Grocery Co. said on Friday it was issuing a recall for all HEB brand and Mi Tradicíon brand corn tortillas purchased at its stores, due to an equipment malfunction. No illnesses had been reported at the time of the recall.
The recall was specific only to the packaged white and yellow corn tortillas sold under the HEB brand and Mi Tradicíon brand. Other tortilla brands and tortillas made in-store by HEB were not affected by the recall, the regional retailer said.
The chain told customers who recently purchased the tortillas to return them for a full refund.
