HEB Plans to Deploy Solution to Streamline Food and Beverage Operations
SAN ANTONIO -- H.E. Butt Grocery Co. has implemented new food and beverage solutions at its Tortilla Plant and Bakery in Corpus Christi, Texas and its Floral Processing Center here, bringing the total number of operating plants to four.
Last year the grocery chain said it would standardize 11 of its plants located in Texas with Lincolnshire, Ill.-based Junction Solutions' Food & Beverage solution, in order to consolidate some legacy systems into one integrated, multilocation, multilingual ERP solution. Junction Solutions delivers enterprise applications that enable companies to streamline processes, improving operational efficiency and building tighter connections with customers and suppliers. "Our team's effort, combined with Junction's consulting organization, has provided results that are nothing short of outstanding." said Linda Espino, Dynamics AX project business leader at HEB.
Since then the retailer has benefited from its long-term relationship with Junction Solutions by realizing improved efficiency in both production and distribution processes. Two more plants are scheduled to go live over the next few months, including the Snack Plant in San Antonio and the Bakery Plant in Houston, to be followed by the dairy and meat processing facilities.
HEB has more than 300 stores in Texas and northern Mexico, with more than 60,000 employees. As the largest privately held company in the state of Texas, HEB has sales nearing $11 billion.
