Harris Teeter to Open Largest-ever Store
Harris Teeter’s PineCroft location, slated to open Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, in Pinehurst, N.C., will be the grocer’s largest store to date, measuring 78,200 square feet. The Matthews, N.C.-based supermarket chain, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Kroger Co., will mark the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a Taste of Teeter sampling event featuring Harris Teeter brand products.
In addition to its size, the PineCroft Harris Teeter will offer many unique features, among them a soup bar and wing bar in the Fresh Foods department; a wine and beer bar with 16 beers on tap and a growler station; a meat smoker in the Butchers Market; a juice bar in the Farmers Market; an expanded selection of general merchandise, including an Everything Kitchen section; and, a walk-in humidor.
The location will be open 24/7, with an attached five-dispenser fuel station staffed daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., at which fuel can be a purchased by debit/credit card at all hours.
