Harris Teeter Donation Card Campaign to Aid United Way
Harris Teeter has launched this year's donation card campaign to support United Way.
Through Sept. 13, shoppers can make a $1, $3 or $5 donation to the organization at checkout. In 2014, Harris Teeter raised more than $405,000 for local United Way chapters through the annual program.
"Harris Teeter has a long-standing relationship with the United Way," noted Danna Robinson, the grocer's communication manager, who expressed thanks for "the participation of our valued associates and loyal shoppers in helping us to raise funds and awareness for our local communities."
All funds raised at checkout will remain in the community, going to the United Way chapter closest to the Harris Teeter location where the money was donated.
A wholly owned subsidiary of The Kroger Co., Harris Teeter operates more than 230 stores and one fuel center in seven states and the District of Columbia. The chain has about 28,000 associates.
