Hannaford Names Regional VP of Retail Ops

Hannaford Supermarkets has appointed Rudy DiPietro VP of retail operations for the western division of Hannaford Supermarkets, according to a printed report in The Business Review of Albany, N.Y. Based in Schodack, N.Y., DiPietro oversees 47 stores in New York and 17 in Vermont, including sales, marketing and budgets.

Previously a director of fresh merchandising at Scarborough, Maine-based Hannaford, a division of retail conglomerate Delhaize Group, DiPietro suceeds Kevin Hill, who left Hannaford in May to take an executive position at Delhaize sister banner Food Lion, based in Salisbury, N.C.

Hannaford operates 179 stores in the Northeast.
