Grocerant Summit: PG Serves Up Fresh Prepared Solutions Event

More than 88 percent of retailer respondents to a Progressive Grocer survey indicate they offer foodservice or food-on-the go programs, yet many admit they struggle with these programs, including staffing and training issues, food safety and equipment, and marketing.

Progressive Grocer’s Grocerant Summit, Oct. 20-21, 2015, in the Chicago area, will tackle these issues – and others – head on, providing retailers with the insights and strategies they need to ensure their fresh prepared food programs are the most relevant for their banners and desirable for their customers.

“Consumer research indicates that 70 percent of meals are unplanned, yet grocery retail is a go-to consideration just 5.3 percent of the time,” says Jeff Friedman, VP and group brand director, Stagnito Business Information. “Retailers view fresh prepared as a positive game changer, and we’re developing the Grocerant Summit to help them be top of mind when shoppers consider meal options.”
