NEW YORK -- Bob Hormats, vice chairman of Goldman Sachs International and chairman of the Advisory Board of the Global Markets Institute, will be the keynote speaker at The Daymon Worldwide Forum on May 5 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers, Daymon Associates said yesterday.
Hormats joined Goldman Sachs in 1982 after 13 years in various economic governmental positions, including assistant secretary of state for economic and business affairs, ambassador and deputy U.S. trade representative, senior deputy assistant secretary for economic and business affairs at the Department of State, and senior staff member for international economic affairs on the National Security Council, during which time he was senior economic advisor to Dr. Henry Kissinger, General Brent Scowcroft, and Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski.
