Giant-Landover Part of 3rd Annual Toys for Tots Partnership

Giant Food of Landover, Md., and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation have joined forces for the third consecutive holiday season. Under the partnership, Giant has placed Toys for Tots collection bins in all 170 of its stores, which are in Maryland; Virginia; Washington, D.C.; and Delaware.

“We encourage our customers to donate new, unwrapped toys at their local Giant and bring holiday cheer to a child in need,” said Jamie Miller, manager, public and community relations at Giant Food.

“The Toys for Tots collection bins set up in Giant grocery stores throughout the region are an invaluable assistance to thousands of children this Christmas,” said Bill Grein, VP at Triangle, Va.-based Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, a nonprofit organization authorized by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Department of Defense. “All children deserve to feel some delight this time of year, and it is our joint mission to help accomplish this end.”

An Ahold company, Giant Food LLC operates 170 stores and employs about 20,000 associates.
