The Fresh Market Refreshes Charlotte Stores

In response to the hotbed climate that has come to define Charlotte, N.C., as well as the ongoing “reimagining” of its business, The Fresh Market is unveiling a new look at its six Queen City stores on Nov. 30, following previous launches of the concept at its Greensboro and Winston-Salem, N.C., locations last month.

The refresh focuses on several key areas: a robust selection of high-quality fresh foods, with more offerings from local farmers; expanded product offerings and optimized grocery space to accommodate more grocery and household items, including 1,300 everyday grocery essentials; lower prices on hundreds of popular items across the store; dedicated sampling stations at select stores and new signage that clearly designates departments; a new Mind & Body department at select locations, featuring a selection of more than 3,300 vitamins, minerals and supplements, as well as a specialist to answer customer questions and offer recommendations; and such health-conscious products as 1,600 organic items, 850 certified gluten-free items and 1,900 certified non-GMO items

To celebrate the concept’s launch in Charlotte, the company will host grand-reopening events at all local stores on Nov. 30, starting at 8 a.m. with giveaways and in-store promotions. Festivities will continue through the holidays, including in-store celebrations on Saturday, Dec. 3 with food sampling, giveaways and live entertainment.

The Fresh Market will continue rolling out refreshed stores across the country, with seven locations in the Triangle region – Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Fayetteville, Raleigh and Southern Pines, N.C. – scheduled for Dec. 7, and additional waves through 2018. Based in Greensboro, N.C., The Fresh Market operates 177 stores in 24 U.S. states.
