Fisher Nuts Unveils ‘My Fresh Twist’ Recipe Contest

The Fisher Nuts brand has launched its first-ever "My Fresh Twist" recipe contest, in which consumers are invited to submit original recipes online through Oct. 22 for a chance to win a grand-prize trip for two to New York City and meet Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli.

"There's nothing more gratifying than recreating a tried-and-true family recipe or coming up with your own fresh twist on a traditional dish," said Guarnaschelli. "The Fisher Nuts 'My Fresh Twist' Recipe Contest gives everyone from at-home cooks to budding chefs the chance to create their own inspired signature dish – one they can enjoy and proudly share with the rest of us!"

Each submission will be featured on www.myfreshtwist.com where consumers will be able to vote to select the top 10 finalists from Oct. 22 through Nov. 5. Guarnaschelli and a panel of judges will then choose the grand-prize winner based upon originality, integration of nuts, taste and visual appeal.

The grand-prize trip to New York City, which takes place Dec. 13-15, includes a meet-and-greet with Guarnaschelli and a signed copy of her new cookbook, “Old School Comfort Food: The Way I Learned to Cook.” The winning recipe will also be professionally photographed and featured on the Fisher Nuts website and Pinterest page.

Nine runners up will receive a $100 Visa gift card and a signed copy of Guarnaschelli’s book. Fisher Nuts will also select five weekly winners from Sept. 10 through Oct. 22 to receive a copy of the book as well as a special Fisher Nuts prize package.
