Festival Foods to Upgrade Web, Mobile With Webstop

Regional independent Festival Foods -- Progressive Grocer's Overall Outstanding Independent Award-winner -- is upgrading its web and mobile presence with the help of Tampa Bay, Fla.-based vendor Webstop, with new features scheduled for launch later this spring.

The new digital features will offer shoppers interactive circulars, personalized shopping lists, digital coupons and recipes in both a desktop and mobile format. The circulars are integrated with a customer’s shopping lists, coupons and recipes, offering a fully connected shopping experience.

"The traffic to our website continues to see significant growth from people using mobile devices,” said Mark Skogen, president/CEO of Festival Foods. “We knew we needed a partner that would allow us to offer a great mobile experience. Partnering with Webstop will allow us to do that.”

According to Webstop, its technology is built to provide the same advanced features no matter what device is being utilized by the shopper, be it a tablet, smart phone or their computer.

“We have seen mobile engagement increase exponentially with roughly 40 percent of our retailers’ web traffic coming from mobile devices,” said Shawn Tuckett, Webstop’s senior director of sales and client service. “We are confident Festival and their shoppers will benefit from the enhanced features.”

De Pere, Wis.-based Festival Foods operates 19 full-service supermarkets throughout Wisconsin and employs more than 5,000 full- and part-time associates.
