Family Dollar Promotes Elizabeth M. Austin to V.P. ¿ IT Operation
MATTHEWS, N.C. - Family Dollar Stores Inc., a discount store chain of 5,484 stores in 44 states, promoted of Elizabeth M. Austin to v.p. of its information technology operations.
"During Elizabeth's employment with Family Dollar she has been instrumental in the growth and leverage of the Information Technology Department," said R. James Kelly, Family Dollar’s vice chairman and c.f.o. "She has had involvement with all major projects, including implementation of our new human resources and financial systems and all phases of implementation of our new merchandising system. Elizabeth also has played a key role in the upgrade of our hardware infrastructure. In her new role, she'll continue to support all store information technology, distribution center, and corporate production environments."
Austin has been with Family Dollar's IT department since October 1998, most recently in the role of divisional v.p., IT operations.
