Duff Goldman to Emcee NGA Best Bagger Championship

Duff Goldman, Food Network star and owner of Charm City Cakes in Baltimore, will emcee the National Grocers Association’s (NGA) Best Bagger Championship, sponsored by PepsiCo. The event will be held Monday, Feb. 9 from 5-6:15 p.m. in Las Vegas during The NGA Show.

"Duff's creativity and enthusiastic personality will certainly bring another energetic component to the Best Bagger Championship, and we look forward to having him there with us to crown the 2015 Best Bagger Champion."

In its 29th year, the NGA Best Bagger Championship is the culmination of contests held across the country, with the winning contestant from each state eligible to participate in the national championship to win “bagging rights.” This year’s event will feature nearly 30 baggers competing for the $10,000 grand prize. Contestants are judged on speed, proper bag-building technique, weight distribution among the bags as well as style, attitude and appearance.

In 2002, Goldman opened Charm City Cakes in Baltimore and went on to star in 10 seasons of "Ace of Cakes" on the Food Network. He recently opened a second bakery, Charm City Cakes West, in Los Angeles.
