Door to Door Organics, a Louisville, Colo.-based meal-planning and natural and organic grocery delivery service, has named Mike Demko its new CEO. An e-commerce veteran with a background in retail technology, Demko has led marketing and operations teams at companies such as FreshDirect and Priceline. In his new role, he will direct the company to its next level of sustainable growth.
He succeeds interim CEO Stefan Pepe, who has been named Door to Door Organics’ chairman of the board. Before joining the company, Demko was COO of GPShopper, a developer of mobile solutions for retailers. While there, he helped scale the business and guide the development of mobile engagement and commerce technologies for retailers that culminated in the acquisition of the business by Synchrony Financial. Demko was also VP of operations for e-grocer FreshDirect and VP of marketing at Priceline.
