David Wells to Lead Ops for Kroger’s QFC Division
David Wells, director of operations for The Kroger Co.’s Atlanta Division, has been promoted to VP of operations for the Quality Food Centers Division in Seattle, effective Feb. 21.
“David’s broad range of experience across different departments and retail divisions and his strong leadership skills will benefit the QFC team,” said Bruce Lucia, Atlanta Division president. “David has been a tremendous asset to the Atlanta Division and his expertise will be greatly missed.”
Wells joined Kroger in 1980 in the management training program and served in several positions in operations and merchandising in both the Southland and Nashville divisions. After joining the Atlanta Division as the operations coordinator and later district manager, he was promoted to his current role of director of operations in Atlanta in 2013.
“I’m very proud to be promoted to vice president of operations,” Wells said. “My enthusiasm, experience and focus on our customers and associates will be a tremendous asset to the Quality Food Centers division team.”
Kroger’s Atlanta Division is one of the Southeast’s largest retail grocery chains with more than 186 stores, covering Georgia, Eastern Alabama and South Carolina.
