Dan Nelson to Join GMDC Executive Staff
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – GMDC has appointed Dan Nelson as s.v.p. of business development and marketing and c.o.o. for the association.
Nelson joins GMDC with 28 years of sales and leadership experience with CPG companies, including L'eggs Hosiery, Schering-Plough, Dow Brands, and most Recently Dial Corp, where he served as corp. v.p. and president.
In his new role with GMDC, Nelson's primary responsibilities will focus on developing and implementing strategy for growing the association on both the wholesaler/retailer and supplier sides, as well as exploring new opportunities within current and prospective channels of trade. He will oversee the activities of the member services and Educational Foundation departments, and lend his expertise to their ongoing efforts.
Nelson will also work closely with GMDC president and c.e.o. Dave McConnell to oversee the day-to-day operations of the association.
