Consumers Have Everything to Gain From ‘Scent-ervention’ Home Makeover Contest
Having recruited HGTV designer and host of Get It Sold and Real Estate Intervention Sabrina Soto as its Home Scent Designer to show consumers how to combine, match or organize favorite scents in the home to complement their lifestyles, Procter & Gamble detergent brand Gain has launched a home “Scent-ervention” contest offering a home makeover by the TV celebrity.
Consumers can enter the contest for a chance to win a "Scent-ervention" with Soto by visiting ilovegain.com or Gain's official Facebook page. Entrants must submit a home video running a maximum of three minutes that explains why scent is important to them and why they should be one of the contest’s three winners. The contest runs through Sept. 10.
“The scent of your home says a lot about you,” noted Soto. “I tell my clients to use it as an accessory, like furniture, to help create an environment that reflects who you are. Making sure scents blend well together is just as important as selecting a signature scent.” She added that new products from Gain would “help people become scent-savvy stars”
The contest is timed to roll out at the same time as the brand’s expansion from the laundry room into the rest of the house with Gain Dishwashing Liquid in Original, Lavender, Citrus Splash and Apple Mango Tango varieties retailing for a suggested $1 to $3.50 per bottle, and Febreze with Gain Original Scent Fabric Refresher, Air Effects, Candles and Noticeables Refills, which are due in stores this month at suggested retail prices ranging from $1.99 to $8.99.
“We truly understand the passion that people have for scent, and we’re thrilled to offer our fans new products in the matching scents of Gain,” said Paul Vraciu, North America Gain Brand Manager at Cincinnati-based P&G. “With Sabrina's help, we’re excited to help people across the country discover new ways to enhance their at-home scent experience.”
