Coca-Cola to Distribute Danone's Evian in North America
ATLANTA - Coca-Cola Co. and Groupe Danone today said they had signed an agreement making Coca-Cola the distributor of Danone's Evian bottled water in North America, Reuters reports.
Coke will handle the marketing, sales and distribution of Evian mineral water in U.S and Canada, the companies said in a statement.
In the U.S. market, more than 50 percent of Evian water is currently distributed by Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc., according to Reuters. With both Coke and PepsiCo Inc. as dominant players in the U.S. bottled water market, Danone was prompted to re-appraise Evian's distribution.
