Chiquita International Names Michael Holcomb New Corp. Sales Veep
CINCINNATI -- Michael J. Holcomb, 47, has joined Chiquita Brands International here as new v.p./corporate sales and customer development.
Holcomb succeeds Jim Gallagher, who is leaving the company to pursue a new opportunity, said Chiquita.
Holcomb comes to Chiquita from the Kao Brands Co., an $11 billion consumer packaged goods (CPG) company based in Japan. Most recently, he served as v.p./g.m.-international, working with brands including John Frieda, Jergens, Curel, Ban and Biore. While leading Kao's U.S. sales division for three years, he helped the organization deliver double-digit revenue growth and record profitability.
Prior to joining Kao, Holcomb served as e.v.p./g.m. for Information Resources, Inc.'s (IRI) client services division. He began his career at the Procter & Gamble Co., where he worked for 18 years in numerous grocery and beauty care sales and business development roles in North America and Asia.
