Chicago Grocer to Offer Online Service in Downtown Area

NEW YORK - Potash Bros. Supermart, a Chicago grocer operating two stores in the downtown area, has launched its business online using MyWebGrocer's Consumer Direct Solution.

Customers who live downtown can have groceries delivered to their door. They can also pick up orders at Potash Bros.? State Street store.

"Our family has been selling groceries in the downtown Chicago area for over 50 years," said Art Potash, vice president of Potash Bros. "We work hard to satisfy our customers. Part of competing successfully is our willingness to go the extra mile and deliver our customer?s groceries to their door. The local competition has yet to launch an online service. MyWebGrocer more than levels the competitive playing field for us. They do the heavy lifting as far as the processes, systems and application are concerned."

?"e are excited to welcome Potash to our client roster. We have a customer service center in Chicago and many of our account managers who live downtown are looking forward to using the online Potash service," said MyWebGrocer's president Mike Spindler. "We estimate that 50-80 percent of Potash's online customers will come from competitors. We base this on our experience with our other clients. We also see the online channel as the fastest-growing business within the supermarket business with same store sales growth more than doubling each year."
