Buehler’s Adds Caroline’s Carts in Most Stores
At the suggestion of a customer on its Facebook page, Buehler’s Fresh Foods now offers Caroline’s Carts for special needs individuals in most of its stores.
Caroline’s Cart provides caregivers a viable option to transport special needs individuals through a store while shopping. The handle swings up to provide convenient access to the comfortable, contoured seat, perfect for low muscle tone individuals while a harness secures a person up to 250 pounds. A rear locking brake with front locking casters provides stability when loading and unloading occupants.
“We really do listen and take customer comments to heart,” said Deb Wilcox, director of communication for the Wooster, Ohio-based Buehler's. “Caroline’s Cart fills a need to ease our customer’s shopping experience. We are genuinely grateful for customer feedback, and touched by the outpouring of appreciation shared on our Facebook page.”
With 14 stores in northeastern Ohio, Buehler’s Fresh Foods is celebrating 85 years as an independent, family-owned and -operated grocer.
