California grocery chain Bristol Farms is poised to open a new concept store in the Los Angeles area that will feature an all-new food hall format, combined with several epicurean market stations and innovative taste experiences.

Scheduled to open Nov. 11, the 25,000-square-foot Mulholland store will offer one-stop shopping for food and everyday needs at competitive pricing, while evolving Bristol Farms’ product offerings and implementing in-store programming. The concept store is described by the company as “a true culinary destination for families, foodies and everyday shoppers.”

Shoppers can expect hundreds of local vendors, thousands of European and import-style products, and 4,000 natural and organic grocery items, as well as day-to-day traditional grocery products and supplies. Monthly programs will be held in the store, including active vendor demos and exclusive promotions and sales.

“We are excited to offer our customers an elevated shopping experience while maintaining Bristol Farms' quality and food standards,” said Adam Caldecott, president and CEO of Carson, Calif.-based Bristol Farms. “With the Mulholland store, we are kicking off our new concept format and inviting customers to shop, stay, eat and play, becoming the culinary destination for the community. Through the interaction between customers and employees, as well as the store’s local involvement, the Mulholland location will be a place where our shoppers truly feel at home.”

Bristol Farms Mulholland will include the following:

  • An artisan California bakery, complete with Bristol Farms’ beloved “The Cookie” served warm all day, plus hundreds of small-batch treats

  • A premium wine and spirits cave featuring thousands of the best everyday and obscure libations

  • A gelato parlor with the latest artisanal flavors

  • An in-house espresso and coffee concept named “The Daily” serving Intazza coffee

  • A daily fresh juice experience to fulfill pre-and post-athletic needs

  • An authentic-style butcher shop offering Prime and Choice USA meats, free seasoning and knife sharpening

  • An international cheese selection of more than 300 varieties

  • A cascading floral wall with exotic bouquets and greenery

  • A new grab-and-go experience with classic recipes as well as new seasonal, ethnic meal options, including fresh ready-to-eat seafood, Asian hot bowls, an expanded poke and Baja taco bar, and an organic salad bar

Bristol Farms Mulholland will offer new lifestyle programs, including kids' cooking and food education classes, seasonal DIY programs, and community involvement through charity programs.

Before the doors open, the Mulholland store will host a Holiday Fair on Nov. 4 that will allow shoppers to meet local vendors and Bristol Farms experts, as well as order their Thanksgiving meals. Grand-opening promotions and specials will include items on sale from every category.

The new store is located at 23379 Mulholland Drive, Woodland Hills, Calif., and will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
