BJ's Names Picis Prez/C.E.O. to Board

BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. has elected Picis president and c.e.o. Christine Cournoyer, to its board of directors. The Wakefield, Mass.-based company is a worldwide provider of software solutions for automating resource-intensive hospital documentation and business practices.

"Chris brings a wealth of experience in information technology and will be a tremendous asset to BJ's management team as we move forward in our multiyear plan to upgrade and replace many of our technological reporting systems," noted BJ's outgoing chairman and c.e.o. Herb Zarkin.

Cournoyer joined Picis in 2006 from Harte Hanks, Inc., where she was managing director from 2005 to 2006. Before joining Harte Hanks, she was president and c.o.o. of Lightbridge, Inc., a provider of outsourced customer analytics. From 1996 to 2002 Ms. Cournoyer held senior management positions at IBM, including v.p. of business transformation, v.p. of customer operations and technology, and c.i.o. of the software group.

Additionally, she recently served on the boards of directors of Stride Rite Corp. and GTECH Corp.
