BJ's to Expand Heating Oil Program to More Northeast Members

NATICK, Mass. -- BJ's Wholesale Club here has extended its contract with PriceEnergy, an e-commerce subsidiary of Rockaway, N.J.-based Able Energy, to provide home heating oil and related services to BJ's club members throughout the Northeastern United States. As a result of the extension the program, which began in 2002 and is currently in more than 70 BJ's locations in eight states, will now expand to over 100 BJ's clubs in the region.

"We...are excited about the economic potential of this agreement," said Able Energy chairman and c.e.o. Gregory Frost. "Our new agreement provides the incentive for us to aggressively expand the number of BJ's members we serve while also adding new products and services to the program. This agreement is consistent with our commitment to growing both revenue and profitability in all of our operating subsidiaries."

PriceEnergy runs a fully automated, Internet-based home heating oil ordering system complemented by a network of fuel distributors. Able is a holding company for five operating subsidiaries engaged in the retail distribution of, and the provision of services relating to, home heating oil, diesel fuel, and kerosene. Additionally, Able provides complete HVAC installation and repair.
