Big Y Names 2 VPs

Big Y Foods has appointed Mathieu L. D’Amour VP, real estate and development, and Theresa Jasmin VP of finance. Additionally, Devyn Blais Webb was promoted to director of accounting.

In his new role, D’Amour, whose last position was director of store development, will continue to head the real estate and store development teams to identify new opportunities for growth. His oversight encompasses all areas of store design, project management, construction, facilities management and real estate. He reports to CFO William T. Mahoney.

As VP of finance, Jasmin, formerly senior director of finance, is responsible for all accounting, finance, treasury, internal audit and tax functions for Big Y. She also reports to Mahoney.

Reporting to Jasmin, Webb will oversee all accounting and financial reporting including budgeting and forecasting for the Springfield, Mass.-based company. Her most recent position was assistant controller.

One of the largest independently owned supermarket chains in New England, Big Y operates 67 stores throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts, with more than 10,000 employees.
