Bi-Lo Launches Fuel Rewards Program

BI-LO yesterday said it launched a new fuel loyalty program to help Charleston area residents to save money on gas by shopping for groceries.

"Our customers can continue to rely on BI-LO for every day grocery savings with their BI-LO Bonuscard, and now there's the added bonus of saving on gas as well," said BI-LO e.v.p. Tye Anthony.

The grocer is working with Excentus fuelperks! on the program. For every $50 a shopper spends at BI-LO, they receive a 5 cent per gallon reward applied to their loyalty card. The $50 threshold can be achieved through multiple visits to BI-LO; and is tracked automatically through the loyalty program.

In addition, shoppers' rewards are cumulative. If the shopper and his or her family spend $200 over the course of several weeks or in one visit, they accumulate a 20 cent per gallon reward. Customers redeem their earned discount by swiping their cards at any one of 23 local participating Sunoco stations.

The price per gallon will automatically roll down by the amount of fuelperks! rewards earned on all grades of Sunoco gasoline, up to 20 gallons per visit. A total of 17 BI-LO stores in the Charleston area and Hartsville are participating in this first-of-its-kind program for this region.

BI-LO operates 223 supermarkets in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee and employs approximately 17,200 associates.
