The 2011 annual Bi-Lo supplier partner meeting will take place at the Carolina First Center in Greenville, S.C., on Feb. 9. More than 600 Bi-Lo suppliers and vendors will be attendance at the four-hour event to hear from the Mauldin, S.C.-based grocer’s leadership team.
Presentations will center on Bi-Lo’s marketing and merchandising accomplishments in 2010, as well as plans for 2011, the current state of the grocery business, and the company’s successful branding strategy.
Following the event, which will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., attendees can enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with the Bi-Lo executive and marketing and merchandising teams from 5 p.m to 7 p.m.
"What started out as an informal meeting several years ago is now one of our most important communication eventseach year," a company spokeswoman told Progressive Grocer. "It's a great opportunity to meet with the vendor community, so we can let them know how they have helped us to be successful, and what our plans are in the upcoming year."
Among the Bi-Lo executives taking part in the meeting are president and CEO Mike Byars, CFO Brian Carney, SVP of operations Anthea Jones and SVP of marketing Bill Nasshan.
