Bi-Lo and Milk-Bone Provide Service Dog to S.C. Resident

MAULDIN, S.C. -- Bi-Lo Supermarkets here has teamed up with Milk-Bone to provide a Canine Assistants service dog for a 12-year-old boy from Greenville, S.C. with cerebral palsy. The donation is part of the Milk-Bone Canine Heroes Program.

Harley Hicks uses a wheelchair for mobility. The service dog will help him retrieve dropped objects, open doors, turn on and off lights, and obtain help in case of an emergency. The boy was recognized at a special donation ceremony at a Bi-Lo in Greenville on Friday, April 21.
