Bassett’s Market Names New President

Charlie Bassett, fourth generation of family-owned Bassett's Market, will take the helm of the Ohio-based grocer as president and CEO following his father Mike Bassett's retirment.

The executive change was announced at a ceremony honoring the grocer being named the single-store winner of the Ohio Grocer's Association's Pinnacle Award. OGA honors both a single-store and multistore operator with the award each year.

“The Bassett family and their loyal employees have a long record of serving the communities of Port Clinton and Bellevue are most deserving of the Ohio Grocers Association’s highest honor,” said Kristin Mullins, president/CEO of OGA.

Bassett Market began in 1898, and now includes stores in Port Clinton and Bellevue, Ohio.
